Introduction

Coogee Resources Limited (“Coogee Resources”) and entities controlled by it (collectively referred to as “Coogee Resources”, “we, “our” and “us”) are subject to the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

This Privacy Policy explains in general terms how Coogee Resources protects the privacy of your personal information under the National Privacy Principles. It also sets out the matters which we are required to disclose to individuals under National Privacy Principles 1.3 and 1.5. The principles set out in this Privacy Policy will apply to any personal information you provide to us via our website or under any agreement or arrangement and to personal information which we collect about you from other sources such as our share register.

For the purposes of this Policy, “personal information” is information about, and which identifies, individuals whether that information is obtained from the relevant individual or from a third party.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to acts and practices of Coogee Resources which relate directly to the employee records of Coogee Resources’ current and former employees.

By explaining our Privacy Policy to you, we hope that you will better understand how we keep personal information confidential and secure while using it to comply with our statutory obligations and provision of information about us to shareholders and other interested parties.

2. HOW WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We generally collect your personal information either directly from you or from our share register. For example, we may collect personal information about you when you deal with us over the telephone, send us correspondence (whether by letter, fax or e-mail), subscribe electronically to our mailing list or when you have contact with us in person.

Generally, the type of personal information we collect about you includes your name, mailing address, telephone number and e-mail address. In the case of shareholders of Coogee Resources, personal information is collected to enable us to report periodically to you regarding the activities of Coogee Resources.

3. OUR DISCLOSURE STATEMENT

Coogee Resources collects personal information for the following purposes:-
• To provide you with information concerning the activities of Coogee Resources;
• To comply with Coogee Resources’ statutory obligations concerning provision of financial and other information and details of scheduled meetings.
• To consider making offers of employment or for employment purposes; or
• To receive services from you or the organisation which employs you.

If you do not provide the information requested, we may not be able to fulfil the applicable purpose of collection.

In general, we will not use or disclose personal information collected about you otherwise than for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, for a purpose you would reasonably expect, a purpose required or permitted by law, or a purpose otherwise disclosed to, or authorised by, you.

Coogee Resources collects personal information that we believe is necessary for our primary business functions and/or activities.

Ordinarily, we would only collect information about you when you provide it to us or it is provided to us with your authority. The collection of personal information will only be by lawful and fair means and not in an unreasonably intrusive way.

Personal information which we collect will not be disclosed to third parties for the purpose of allowing them to direct market their products and services.

From time to time we engage third party contractors to perform services for us which may involve the contractor handling personal information in our possession. For example, we engage third party contractors to print our annual report and arrange mailing to our shareholders. Where we engage third party contractors to perform services for us, we prohibit the third party contractor from using personal information about you except for the specific purpose for which we supply it.

If you provide personal information to us about someone else (such as one of your directors or employees or someone with whom you have dealings) you must ensure that you are entitled to disclose that information to us and that, without us taking any further steps required by privacy laws, we may collect, use and disclose such information for the purpose for which it was provided to us.

4. GAINING ACCESS TO INFORMATION WE HOLD ABOUT YOU

We will, on request, provide you with access to the personal information we hold about you unless there is an exception which applies under the Privacy Act such as where we have an obligation of confidentiality or non-disclosure.

Your request to obtain access will be dealt with in a reasonable time. We may recover from you our reasonable cost of providing you with access.

If we refuse to provide you with access to the information, we will provide you with reasons for the refusal and inform you of any exceptions relied upon under the Privacy Act.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information is accurate, complete and up-to-date whenever we collect or use it.

If any of the personal information we hold about you is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, please contact us immediately and we will take reasonable steps to correct this information or, if necessary, we will discuss alternative action with you.

6. SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We will take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Generally, our employees only have access to personal information on a need-to-know basis.

We will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify personal information if it is no longer needed by us.
 As data transmission over the Internet cannot be guaranteed as fully secure we are unable to guarantee or warrant the security of any information you sent to us over the Internet. You submit information over the Internet at your own risk.

We do maintain physical security over our paper and electronic data stores and premises, such as locks and security systems.

We also maintain computer and network security.
